Seems like there's a bit of a (public) jobs bonanza in your neck of the woods Travs. Maybe with an eye on the prospective cash flowing from HS2 completion?

West Midland's Police for are looking for an Assistant Director for Fairness and Belonging (£73,000 pa), although candidates have to have...erm "an authentic presence" (can't think what that's code for!) https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/202...ng-criticised/.

That second one reads like a lot of responsibilities for a pretty low salary...

Although when you read the actual requirements for the role, they aren't exactly asking for a great deal...!

With phrases like "To effectively map and understand Neighbourhood typography and support NPU staff in increasing engagement based on NH typography" you'd like they'd at least ask for a Geography 'O'Level/GCSE

There is a heck of a lot of enabling works going on around the NEC/Stonebridge area. I believe this is where there will be a station which branches off the mainline and provides the branch into the new Curzon Street Station in the centre of Birmingham.
