    Yes, I was wondering whether it was the view back to Y Garn, but it all just looked so much smaller than when I went that way in the Half Peris.

    The perspective, and the snow covering of the Llyn make it very deceptive... i initially thought it was looking up Blencathra but realised it couldn't be that!

    And if it is that, I once went down that scree slope in the foreground. Took a slide, short shorts, very nearly tore myself a new arsehole, as the saying goes.

    Bang on!

    And yes, that scree slope (although the worst bits are now completely eroded of scree) is horrific and i don't think i'll ever bother with it in descent again.
