At What Age is Cool Uncool?

A friend of mine has been badgering me to go for a run with him in the Goyt Valley for a while but I have been putting him off as I don't want to slow him down as I am still taking it steady.

However, tomorrow morning it is on. We exchanged text messages, my last one suggesting the meeting time to which he replied "cool".

Now, I am 62 and he is 50.

    Two questions.

When I see him tomorrow, should I tell him to act his age and not his shoe size?

Should I stop being a fuddy duddy and get down with the kids?

PS. Don't start me on an 18yrs old waiter/waitress coming to my table and asking if "you guys are ready to order" AAARRRRRRRGGGGG

I'm pretty young at heart... Although I have a mortgage and a good job, I have very little in the way of commitments, and spend most of my time planning on the next way to enjoy myself, whether it be through racing, travelling, etc...

But it did hit home a little last week when I was talking to two work colleagues... One aged 23, and the other aged 52.... And I realised I was actually closer in age to the 52 year old...

Final judgement depends on what he is wearing for the run. One glance and you will know for sure.
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

A backwards baseball cap and a onesie would be cool

Probably a good thread to throw in my dislike of the phrase ‘reach out’ now that really gets my goat, it’s awful

I do, if he hears anyone say it he just won’t stop bleating on about it

Whenever I get an email from someone "reaching out" it gets deleted

I would like to do the same, but as I work for the UK subsidiary of an American company these emails are usually from my boss's boss.

Personally I feel that one is only allowed to 'reach out' if you happen to be a member of the Four Tops.
