I have just realised that this year will be first in 62 years that I have not seen the sea.

Visibility good except in Hill Fog
Not sure 2020 will be the first year, but at least one of the very few years that I did not summit any mountain Extremely sad about it.
Mind you, the nearest mountain is 1000km from where I live.
I still climbed ca 100km in 2020, vertical elevation gain, probably my maximum.
Been abroad - first time since around 1996 I think.
Richard Taylor
"William Tell could take an apple off your head. Taylor could take out a processed pea."
Sid Waddell
Worked anywhere except my desk at home.
Cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Taken a flight. Normally I use planes several times a year (mainly with work). It would be nice to think we won't immediately return to pre-COVID levels of flying once we're all vaccinated.
Yes i think it's the first time i've not been overseas for a while... (actually 2019 i'm counting over the Kyle Bridge to Skye as overseas!)
Did get across the Menai Bridge to Anglesey this year, but i don't think i'm going to count that!
...spent even a single night in a bothy
...driven south of Lancaster or north of Moffat.
Am Yisrael Chai
..been to Scotland. Really missed our planned trips to Orkney, Mull and few places in between.
Pete Shakespeare - U/A
Going downhill fast
First year i've not done an AL fell race since starting to race in 2015
Also first time i've not got into double-figures for fell races either (managed 9 of varying types, "proper" races, staggered starts, MapRun races)
I was thinking "visited the Lake District " but I realised I was there the first 3 days of the year - it just seems such a long time ago.
@llani boy - I have seen more of the sea than ever, but that's because it is only a mile from home and most of the year it's been one of the few options for a run.
