Well, didn't expect that year!
I thought we were going to have nothing then there was a flood!
There were 168 registrations (16 ladies) with 84 successful rounds (6 ladies).
There were 80 successful clockwise rounds (6 ladies) and 4 successful anticlockwise rounds (0 ladies).
Fastest times were 16:05 for the men and 14:34 for the ladies. I think this is the first time this has happened - this doesn't include second or subsequent rounds only qualifying rounds. Fastest time of the year was George Foster's 13:44 (he's already a member) becoming the second person and first British runner to better Billy Bland's long standing record. There was an unusually high proportion of sub 20hr times this year, 18/84 or 21% compared with the historical proportion of 5% (127/2384).
The average age of successful contenders was 36yrs 0months which is the lowest for some time.
