    BGR 2020 Summary

    Well, didn't expect that year!

I thought we were going to have nothing then there was a flood!

There were 168 registrations (16 ladies) with 84 successful rounds (6 ladies).

There were 80 successful clockwise rounds (6 ladies) and 4 successful anticlockwise rounds (0 ladies).

Fastest times were 16:05 for the men and 14:34 for the ladies. I think this is the first time this has happened - this doesn't include second or subsequent rounds only qualifying rounds. Fastest time of the year was George Foster's 13:44 (he's already a member) becoming the second person and first British runner to better Billy Bland's long standing record. There was an unusually high proportion of sub 20hr times this year, 18/84 or 21% compared with the historical proportion of 5% (127/2384).

The average age of successful contenders was 36yrs 0months which is the lowest for some time.

The age of successful contenders ranged from 17 to 55.

Thanks for posting the data, Bob. It makes Interesting reading. As I have done for the last couple of years, I have done a little graphing and analysis.

    Oh, forgot to mention ...

I've updated the members' and winter lists to the end of 2020.

If you see any errors, misspelled names or the like in either the members' list at http://www.bobgrahamclub.org.uk/asse...t-end-2020.pdf or the winter list at http://www.bobgrahamclub.org.uk/asse...t-end-2020.pdf either post on here or drop me an email.

I had to play god last year and resurrect a couple who were incorrectly noted as having died
