    Ben Nevis Mountain Race

I came across this interesting race on the BBC website this evening.

    Ben Nevis Mountain Race

I am sure I saw a very youthful Graham Breeze in this race.

that's a classic bit of fake news (not the GB bit, obvs: he was there for sure). Look at the "summit" section and compare with the *actual* summit of the Ben
    ....it's all downhill from here.

Think its scheduled for 1st weekend in September this year.

September is such a busy month for racing though...

    Grisedale
    Nevis
    Stretton Skyline
    LDMT
    Black Mountains
    Peris
    Usually a Champs race
Im sure there's a Road Relay (12 stage regional or national?)

Do fancy a Scottish trip this year, but think I might plump for the Glenshee Nine in August.

Indeed. And whilst a "12 year old record" might have been broken in this 1951 race, the event hadn't been held since 1944 and since that was during WW2 the fittest young men might have had other things preoccupying them at the time.

"...as dry as the Atacama desert".
