I think you are being a bit harsh.

My mother and I will have received the same letters and one or maybe both arrived after we had been jabbed and I thought that I was just grateful to be a recipient and not the organiser of this gigantic project in which it is absolutely impossible for the NHS people involved to "win".

But then I think the NHS is wonderful - bearing in mind the people they have to deal with.

The phrase, 'stay safe' is starting to grind my gears, almost as much as the new litter problem of discarded face coverings. The more i hear it the more dangerous i decide to live my life. It just seems like a further debasement of our language, at the end of the day, if you know what i mean. Actually, no, screw you checkout assistant; i think i'm going to overtake on a blind crest on the way home and kick a Bull Terrier in the gonads.

Or go fell running! Most people would put that in the same category! We tend to forget what a small clique we are compared to shop assistant land!

I'm with JohnK on this one: there is a possibility that something might go wrong when I have the jab, but the likelihood and severity of Long Covid is far worse.
and that is a valid choice, which is what it should come down to.

Its great to see the progress we are making with vaccination. The problem will come when we are just left with the anti-vaxxers. They will represent a significant reservoir of disease which could put us all back to square one. Luckily, The Monster Raving Loony Party has the answer, first aired in their 2008 manifesto.

To be fair it didn't take much effort, I rolled my sleeve up, had a quick injection and hope that is the beginning of the end for the apocalypse.
