It's rare I comment on the Facebook group "Fell Running UK" but an "Anonymous Member" posted about some heart issues yesterday, referring to another named member of the group who'd also had some similar issues.
I've been blocked for my comment by admin - very quickly as well.
I got a notification that "Anonymous Member" had replied, but I cannot see or respond to the content.
My crime - I asked if they were vaccinated.
I've discussed Covid, lockdown, vaccination widely on here, Facebook, Twitter and even Youtube. I'd never have thought that Fell Running UK would be my first ever cancellation.

It's a reasonable question to ask, if only for further information and a proper discussion on the subject. Clearly, they don't want a reasoned discussion and only want to have the "right" comments.
I don't use FB, as I can't get useful information out of all the rubbish, and this give me no enthusiasm to change my mind.
Tried to reply but seems my posts have to be moderated!

Moderation is an interesting topic.
In the great days of the FRA Forum Brett was very, very reluctant to moderate much and I think in its entire life only a handful of posters were eventually banned: and then not for expressing opinions about fell running.

Following a mention by AK a while back, I have been 'watching over the fence' a cycling forum he mentioned. They seem to make a right mess of moderation, allowing offensive threads and posts whilst removing perfectly reasonable ones that question it. It's so bad that their moderation needs moderation, as it's very one-sided and biased.
Asking a perfectly reasonable question should not be moderated. Likewise, I believe it is not offensive to say you believe someone is wrong, if you can, and do, produce information that supports that view.
I don't think I have ever been moderated (apart from by myself deleting stuff upon rereading it).
This is probably because I only ever submit bland, benign and uplifting posts.
Or it may be triumphal evidence of the common sense of the moderators - who remember that online media is ephemeral and so even less important than the newspapers that eventual wrap tomorrow's fish 'n' chips.

You haven't had fish and chips in a while Graham, they are served in cardboard boxes now 🙁, this country has truly gone down the pan!
