Thread: central heating servicing

    central heating servicing

The company that built/installed our central heating is offering a contract of yearly servicing for 233eur/yr. We live in a new built from 2019.
They're saying the obvious vendor things, the system will remain efficient saving you money long term, safety, blabla.
I'm all in favor of servicing staff before they break rather than after, but hey it seems overpriced, more than 40% of our yearly gas bill.

    Opinions?

    I wouldn't.

A service would probably cost that much. But if it's a new house then you'll probably be ok without one for a few years.

    I would save the money.

Agreed - but do make sure you have the contact details of a local reliable central heating/boiler person for when it does let you down.

I had a new boiler installed a couple of years ago and I have a 12year parts and labour warranty on it, provided it get`s an annual service which costs me 70 quid and I think that is good value.

Just do what feels right for you.
