    The Mark Parrish Round

I've put together a new 24hr hill / trig bagging challenge based mainly around the calder valley. It's about 70 miles+ and something like 4500m of climbing and plenty of south pennine bog. Its called the Mark Parrish Round after my dad who has been battling covid in ICU for the last few months (thankfully he's looking as though he'll be home soon).

I'm planning to have a go at the round on August 21st.

It would be great to see others taking it on later down the line.

I've done a video walk through of the round if it's of any interest.

    Thanks

Good luck with the round, and hope your dad carries on making good progress.

i'm having a run at this on saturday, setting off from Tod at 2am and hopefully getting back some time before 10pm. all being well i'll get a write up done after and hopefully it'll peak the interest of others to have a go too.

    Thanks JohnK.

unfortunately it didnt go as planned. perfect conditions and was having a blast, feeling fitter than ever but after 30 miles my left knee started to ge a bit painful and it just continued to deteriorate. i got to crow hill at the end of leg 4 and it just seized up completely so had to call it a day. very frustrating
