Fancy running in the Three Peaks Yacht Race?

Competitive sailing team seeks one or two experienced fell runners for the 2021 Barmouth to Fort William Three Peaks Yacht Race, a classic non-stop endurance race combining nearly 400 miles of sailing and 76 miles on land.

Unfortunately one of our running pair has had to pull out, so we are looking for another to join our team, or a pair of runners who know one other and are well paced together. Sailing experience is not necessary but some familiarity
with boats would certainly be a benefit

Snowdon: Drop-off in Caernarfon. Mostly on road to Llyn Cwellyn, Snowdon Ranger Path up, Llanberis Path down, mostly road back to Caernarfon. 24.5 miles, 3,560ft ascent.

Scafell: Drop-off in Whitehaven. Cycle 20 miles road/track to YHA Black Sail. Run 12.5 miles to summit Scafell Pike and back. Return cycle to Whitehaven. 8000ft total ascent.

Ben Nevis: Drop-off at Corpach Lock. 17.8 mile run, 4500ft ascent. Approx 50% on road to the foot of Ben Nevis Path, summit and return to Corpach same route.

The race starts on Saturday 19th June though we would probably need to travel to Barmouth on Fri 18th. Depending on the weather, the race will probably take 4 to 5 days. We have a well sorted competitive yacht but would look to share race entry fee, food, etc between the team. Hoping to have a support van for transporting bikes, spare kit, etc, and help with return journey from Corpach.

If this piques anyone's interest and you fancy joining our team, please drop me a line ASAP via [email protected] so we can discuss further.
