Sadly it appears that Tom has decided to call it a day. However James is hanging on in there but somehow I think that the prevailing weather conditions are against him completing it:-

And given that another storm is due to hit on Tuesday :-

I feel the odds are stacking up against him getting a completion ( I do hope he proves me wrong) but I have no doubt that he will be enjoying the challenge and I wish him well.

Quite nasty conditions even at lower altitudes in the Lakes this morning - cleared out this afternoon - a covering of snow down to around 300-350m.

Without me you'd be one place nearer the back
Yes pretty trying conditions on the fells today but tommorrow they may be a little more intense:-

Tonight is forecast to be relatively benign in comparison so hopefully James will be able to make good progress and place himself in a good position to weather the storm and hopefully achieve a completion.
One thing is for sure James and his team will certainly have a story to tell.
I have just seen that due to the yellow weather warning James is intending to stop at Mungrisedale until the weather passes. a very wise move i.m.o.

Yeah, looks like no option but to stop given the severity of the predicted weather. I guess he'll go again on Wednesday morning. Phenomenal job to get this far in what has already been some pretty grim conditions.

Great James is off again well done to the fella for having the grit and determination to turn out again into what is still not particularly pleasant weather.
Impressive stuff, off again at midnight it looks like. With a bit of luck he'll be finished tomorrow.

James is just about to go over Binsey, so once that is behind him he will have 28 Summits and a bit under 6,000 mtrs of ascent, with around 95.Km left to do.
So he is looking good and the weather is not bad especially considering what he has endured so far, most impressive

Just High Spy, Maiden Moor and Catbells left to do and then the well worn run in to Keswick left to do so it is nearly job done.
