    Champs races 2022

It's about time we all started conjecturing about which races will be in the champs next year. Any news?

I heard that Black Mountains will be a British Champs race.

Will be very interested to find out about the other English Champs races as i'm hoping to strive for a few points in the V40 category.

I heard some stuff a few weeks back, can only remember 4/6 rumoured races plus there was one in the peak district.

    Langdale
    Old Crown Round
    Buckden Pike
    Guisborough Three Tops

I think I saw a hint somewhere that this is one:

Thanks. That makes sense, as I see the women go off separately from the men.

So there's one more medium to find...

They are always announced at the "Do" - which was last Saturday.

If only the new English Champs Coordinator was on the forum...
After Saturday's "do", I can confirm that the 5 mentioned above are in the English, with Lower Borrowdale Skyline (the other side of the M6 from the Fell Relays venue) the other.

Thanks ba-ba. It's good to see we've got our collective fingers on the beating pulse of fell running news.

That sounds like a good selection. Buckden Pike is one of my favourite races.

So is LBS a medium next year? This year's event was described as:
20 k - Description - This is an AL fell run on typical Westmorland terrain. Although it follows a quad track almost the entire route, it is rough under foot and expect some tough ascents and great descents.

    The forum does it again!

Great news on the choice of races too... Old Crown deserves to be a champs race, it's absolutely fantastic.

Old Crown and Lower Borrowdale also a stone's throw away for me!
