    Running/fitness after chemotherapy

Hi. After 6 x 4 week cycles of chemotherapy treatment is finished - for now at least.
Has anyone out there made a successful return to fell running after chemo?
Most advice emphasises rest, but I’m not that patient! I appreciate that my blood count needs a few weeks to recover but an uplifting story or two and some advice from runners would be welcome.

Hi Old Whippet, only just came across this. Hope everything is going okay. I work in an Oncology specialty and may be able to give some advice if still needed. Not sure if this forum has a private message, but happy to chat.

Thanks Lupi - just came across your reply. I’ve had some excellent support via pm from a forum regular. But anything you can add via pm or otherwise would be helpful.
For an update: had Covid over new year so set back a bit, but (hurray) accepted for and started immunotherapy 10 days ago. Bit anaemic still and struggling to run.

Apologies I don't check this forum very often! Let me know if I can be of any help. Not sure how to do the whole PM thing, but sent a friend request via the site
