    Strava year in sport

    For those forumites who are on Strava, you can view your year in sport (link from your profile page). Here's mine to get us started:

    I've rounded these up a little as I fell out with my watch for about a month, but was still running.

    I was active on 185 days
    93% was running
    I did 140 hours of activity
    I did 1,350 km (840 miles)
    and ascended 41,000 metres (135,000 feet)

    Overall, I think this shows I need to train more.

    If you insist Noel,

    I was active on 348 days

    19% was running 72% walking 6% cycling
    924 miles 1210 miles 1520 miles
    122,421 feet 126,804 feet 138,000 feet
    148 hours 426 hours 116 hours

    I did a lot less cycling than I normally do but that is down to my shoulder before and after surgery although I did do one ride of 100 miles.
    Not as much running as I would have liked but I find I take days to recover after a race. I think longer, slower and more often is not far away but I still want to race!

    Quite a bit down on 2020.

    I don't even bother reporting on "today's training" at the moment as so many niggly disruptions over the 2nd half of 2021 it's not worth posting my most regular run, a 5k canal potter :/

    As Martin Brady of Clayton said, just keep ticking over if you can. So I'm a couple of short runs a week, exercise bike and some weekend walking at the moment.

    Tell you what though, I attended a charity night run a few weekends ago at Worsthorne, with mostly CLEM folk and it was a pleasure to run and feel part of a group again.
    First time for probably two years.

    So in the New Year, I think I'll try to get to my local parkrun again and hopefully by Spring be ready for a few modest local fell races again.

    I am not on strava. From Garmin Connect I know that I ran 1100 miles and walked 660, but does anyone know if you can get cumulative ascent from GC? It won't be very impressive as too much of my time is in the south.

    I can't see anything on the app either but if you login to the full web site, you can see your last 12 months stats in your profile page.
