Not sure if it's a tracker issue, but Eugeni is moving incredibly slowly all of a sudden and Eoin is really gaining on him. 3rd and 4th not that far behind him either. We might see some racing acion over the last section on the Cheviots!

Apparently Eugene has had to stop and sleep at a farm, as he's been pushing hard since the start, and his feet needed treatment.

Interesting! Eoin's going to pass him very soon. Presumably Eugeni won't have another break now, so it'll be interesting to see what Eoin does (as in taking a break a Bellingham/Byrness will likely cost him the lead).

I looked before starting work at 8, can't believe how much the situation has changed during the morning.

Looks like Eoin has gone straight through the farm and continued...

I was surprised to see Eoin is a V50. He's doing well for an old bloke.

But seriously, this shows how older athletes can still compete at the top level on these endurance events.

Or is it that you need 20 years of training behind you to do something like this?

I raced against Eoin 10 years ago in the Dublin Mountains. He won that day.

I guess for something this long and tough there's a big benefit to knowing your own limitations and how best to extract your best effort over that distance/time, stuff that only experience can bring.
