I've got 6 pairs: mudclaws, scott supertrac, new balance trail, irocs for racing in, some old x-talons that are only useful for park runs now.

And a latest addition (using a worn-out pair of trail shoes) for any snow and ice in the next few weeks:

Road shoes (these double up for road training/races, track sessions/races)

Fell training shoes (these double up for any off-road training)
I'm similar to Travs, with three pairs; but rather than road shoes, I have shoes for "mild" off-road, and my fell training shoes are reserved for when conditions require really good grip.

A fantastic shoe. I've got two pairs on the go and use them sparingly. I've also got two new pairs in the bottom of my wardrobe that I found on the internet. They are as rare as hens teeth. I just hope they don't degrade in storage.

Mizuno laces are also fantastic. Never come undone by themselves!
If you remember that Walsh range, they seemed to be trying to fit in the same slot, but didn't quite manage it.

Someone must have a Fellrunner with the ads in.

I don't remember them but it would be good to see a photo to compare.

The only Walshes I recall wearing were the ones with the ridged soles. Very hard on the feet I remember.
Visibility good except in Hill Fog

All Fellrunners are on the website (except for recent issues).

This is one shoe. I think they had 3 all with a similar feel to them.

It was around 2010 they launched.

I had a pair of Walsh road shoes in about 1990. Quite a thick cushioned sole unit and lighter weight nylon uppers.

Anyway, to capitalise on the market for old codger ex-fellracers, I'm just waiting for Walsh to release a pair of slippers to go with me pipe!🤣

Quite a few years ago Joss Naylor announced his retirement from racing so at our annual presentation evening (CFR) Pete Bland who was guest of honour presented Joss with a pair of smart tartan slippers that he modified with a Walsh PB sole.
Joss was chuffed and danced well in them.
