Yes an old advert - but by 2006/7 Walsh were also looking at manufacturing in the Far East and we had their range of shoes made in China launched (I'm guessing from memory) around 2010.
They seemed to do the job of a Mizuno Wave Harrier, but mustn't have quite worked out for them.

    Mizuno Wave Harrier.

A fantastic shoe. I've got two pairs on the go and use them sparingly. I've also got two new pairs in the bottom of my wardrobe that I found on the internet. They are as rare as hens teeth. I just hope they don't degrade in storage.

Mizuno laces are also fantastic. Never come undone by themselves!

I suppose the answer to "How many shoes does Llani Boy need?" is N+1?

    Correct answer Graham.

My next +1 is already lined up.

A replacement pair of Scott Kinabalu Ultra RC in time for summer racing.

Not sure about of footwear, but in the world of cycling they say the optimum number of bikes is N-1; where N = the number of bikes that would cause your partner to actually leave you (rather than just threaten to).

I should say that this formula probably also applies to cars, motorbikes, and a lot of other 'essential' possessions.

Marco, I understood N to be having a minimum of 3 bikes before the formula kicked in.

As for running shoes I would suggest that 6 pairs would be the start point!

I agree. 3 bikes is justifiable even though I could always buy another. I just need to qualify it in terms of running shoes as MrsS owns more of those than I do. I had a clear out over Christmas and bought a couple. Now down to a reasonable 7 pairs. I'm sure she has at least 9. Of course bikes do cost quite a bit more than shoes...

I thought it was D-1 i.e. 1 less than the number that would trigger divorce? Or am I being non-marriageist?🤣

I've only got 3 paris of running shoes... considering i run on all surfaces this seems low compared to many on here!

Road shoes (these double up for road training/races, track sessions/races)
Fell race shoes (these double up for cross-country racing)
Fell training shoes (these double up for any off-road training)
