    Re: Smelly Helly

I had the same problem with a Nike DriFit top and a NorthFace VapourWick top.
I found the smell was mainly concentrated on the back panels where my hydration pack or ruck sack was. I don't really sweat much, apart from the contact area the packs make.

Mentioning this to my girlfriend, she remembered seeing a detergent pack in Tesco’s called 'Fabric D-TOXY', made by Dylon. Its £1.99 on offer and it worked a treat. I must say I had to stick my Inov-8 race pack Pro 12 in with the wash to make sure that got de-contaminated also.

    HOPE THIS HELPS..!!

problem I have with the merino wool tops (I've got a patagonia and icebreaker one) is that I find my arms get hot and the sweat runs down and makes the wool on my forearms very wet. merino once wet doesn't dry anything like as quick as polyester and I find the best combination is sportwool which is a mixture of merino wool and polyester. montane do a top in this as do helly, the laters is called freeze I think and its an excellent winter top.
