    Lakeland Country Fair Fell Race

    Lakeland Country Fair senior fell race is at 14.30 on Sunday 21st August at Torver.
    9km (5.6m) with 705m (2313ft) of ascent, to the top of the Old Man and back.
    £50 Pete Bland vouchers for first woman and first man.
    Entry on the day – a FREE race with FREE parking but pay £5 to enter the Country Fair.
    The Fair opens at midday.

    It used to start/finish just south of junction in Torver - now it is just to the north it.

    The Country Fair is nowadays near Little Arrow: from the Torver T-junction head towards Coniston on the A593 and in 700m it's on your left.

    You could warm up at the Rusland Show the day before, only 8km away as the golden eagle flies.

    (One has been sighted several times in coniston in the last few weeks.)
