There was quite a long queue for the self-service checkouts at Tesco. But 5pm on Friday is not a sensible time to go there.

I’m getting a downstairs shower to pre-empt the the queues outside the bathroom that are bound to start in a couple of years with teenagers.
Fair play to David Beckham for queuing and looking dapper, but, in the words of my father, ‘he needs a shave’.
It's reported to be 26hrs this morning. It's more of a pilgrimage now!
