rotator cuff injury

Anyone got experience of this? Had this for over 5 months now. Prob torn cuff. Only gradual improvement but still restricted movement with some discomfort. Is it worth going for surgery? NHS waiting list appears to be about a year so might go private (hiss!).

Not specifically rotator cuff, bit I have torn both my right and left deltoids in the past 3 years and both have recovered to near 90% with physio. I wouldn't advocate surgery except as a final recourse.
