I did this race last year in very hot conditions. It's organised by Due North who run a yearly series of three Trail Marathons in the southern Dales. They are great - must be cause Ted Mason enters and wins some of them.
Lovely run today up the side of the Cove to near the Tarn, along Mastiles lane to Smearbottom Lane and up to Weets top. Down Calton Moor to finish up the Pennine way. Tim Taylors beer and a pie for all finishers - who needs medals and T shirts.
My Marathon training must be going well as I was 17 minutes faster than last year.
