    Are any other forumites having a go at this one, I'm gonna dust off the Innov-8s and get my backside round, it wil be my first fell race this year.

    Toying with the idea. Little child minding issue to resolve first. Anyone got a map of the route? On my OS map it shows a substantial opencast working north of and beneath the Pike?

    Any clues as to route?

    Roughly based on this from memory, round the field, along a track with the railway line on your right, think you might carry on a little further west (than marked on map) after leaving path by railway and then steep initial climb. Good descent for them that can.

    That was the course until 3 or 4 years ago but it's different now unless it's reverted back?

    There's a description of the course since 2005 here unless it's changed again.
