    effin bloody bistards

Anyone here ever tried getting hold of BT!

I ordered a phone line on the 9th of august!

I have had 1 email from them, have spent over 2 hours in total with the phone jst ringing out trying to speak to them.
Sent 3 emails asking whats going on and 2 complaints, still not a dicky bird!

Phone here is about to go out the window (don't think work would be very happy)

    RANT OVER!

Real problems with BT at work.
They have so disorganised it's unbelievable.

My classic complaint was about response, we pay for a 4 hour response to any problems, when I complained they hadn't done this they replied 'we sent you a text to say we were looking into it', that's all we have to do, send the text within 4 hours!!!
They cut off RedCare alarm lines without warning, cannot organise billing properly, the list goes on and on.
    I still won't use NTL/Virgin though!!

Interesting competition between the two customer service departments...

    Very hard to believe DanAzz.

As an ex BT employee (...and beleive me I am know where BT are good and bad) I can tell you unless you had a fault...or hey...maybe just your accounts team f*cked up and didn't pay your bill and ignored the 3 levels of reminder, this just would not happen.

If it did, get your a/c manager or dbam sacked. I'm sure that'll give you satisfaction

Oops, I'm a whinger then. I was in tears when we moved in here last year from speaking to BT. Or should I say 'trying' to talk to them. It was the worst experience of my life. It's impossible to speak to somebody about what you actually want. You just get passed from person to person with no communication whatsoever.

Having said that, I've had no problems since with either phone line or Broadband.

It's just the trying to get in touch with them. It's awful.

we had that problem with BT earlier in the year
i do recall a few problems but it got sorted in the end
people do get there backs up when talk about BT is banded about simply because when you look at your bill you quickly realise its a cartel
and then to ram £90 a second profit at you , well what do they expect

Here we go..phoneline transfered to One Bill, only accounts (at BT) should of but didn't transfer the existing balance, all future payments are on One Bill. No letters arrive about the balance (they admit this is a loop hole in their system because of the timing of the transfer) we are paying for the line on One Bill but not the outstanding balance because this should have been credited.
The first letter we get is when we are told we are going to court, I sort it out with BT and the external company but we get cut off anyway, they except it's their fault reconnect the line but don't do anything about Redcare it takes us a further 3 days and £600 later to get RedCare reconnected.

Don't get me started on the engineer who tried to short cut the RedCare system when transfering a line...

I have the satisfaction of ringing them today to 'leave BT' - it's going to BT wholesale but at least I don't have to talk to them any more
I must say though the team I ring to sort things out are very good it's if they cannot sort it and it goes into 'the system' it gets messy.
