    Screes race?

I know this isn't in the calendar this year, and someone mentioned Middlefell wasn't on because of the pub changing hands.

Does anyone know if the Screes race is on?

I have been contacted this week about the 2009 Screes race and am expecting to receive details from the organiser in the next few days. These will appear on the FRA website when I receive them.

    Re: Screes race?

It was a bit wild on top of Whin Rigg today

Thanks to the organisers for putting on the race and all at the The Screes Inn and especially those marshalls on top of Whin Rigg.

Jos Naylor started us off and manned the last stile before the road section back to the pub. The FellMeister stood there in the rain till all the runners had passed offering encouragement to all I did take the opportunity to check if he had a spare copy of his book but apparently they are as rare as hens teeth at the moment

Nice tatorhash afterwards (with black pudding) washed down with a very smooth pint of Cumbria Way

Nick Fish in 43 something, followed by Chris Knowles. After that I can't remember! Results should appear on the inn website at some point.
And if anyone is interested they are planning to keep this great little race in the calendar, as well as the Middlefell race in April. Date yet to be decided.
