    I ran up Great Whernside last weekend from Kettlewell just to stretch my legs. Another runner ran past me and asked if I was training for the race, had no idea I was on a race route at the time. By the time I wheezed out 'No, I'm just out for a gentle run' he had disappeared off into the distance

    For anyone doing the race it's a bit boggy after Hag Dike.

    Great race today, fantastic weather saw quite a few people running topless. Bit of a lungbuster going up, and the descent seemed to be over rather too quickly but all very enjoyable so thanks to the organisers and marshalls. Wins for Simon Bailey and Candice Leah both breaking course records, with P&B (men) and Bingley (women) winning team prizes.
