Fell Ponies??

Seems to depend on the breed Daz, the Northern Irish Ponies (with their distinctive white flanks) seem to go through them at a shocking rate....so much so that they have to smuggle them back to the stable without their Mares seeing them

ive seen one of the irish ponies , he is a feisty one , must have took a lot to bring that young stud into line and learn him the ways of proper fell pony behavour.
I will keep my eyes out for that one , but ive been told he can be a softie for polo mints .
someone told me as soon as he gets his nosebag on he is as good as gold

perhaps he paddled in the river bann in northern ireland as a young pony
little does he know i know all the pony families in northern ireland

Im not convinced he could ever really be brought into line...i would say he may have some donkey blood in him but hes a bit quick for a mule

yes ive noticed that in him
very bouncy on the up when ive tried to run with him

Glad you said that coz he's criticized me in the past for "bouncy" running....calls it uneconomical and will swear blind that he doesnt bounce. As you have witnessed for yourself, thats poppycock, he runs like he has spacehoppers on his feet

yes thats cos in his stable as a youngster he only had top quality hay for bedding

Wetting the hay? Perhaps now and again....but which pony doesnt have a little trickle now and again?
