    Cross country

Who ran one today and how did you get on?
The race does not always go to the swift, but to the ones who keep running

I ran at my home course in the 1st Red Rose at Witton - somewhere in the middle of the field - so happy with that after being there from 9.00am building the course, team managing and running around to support my younger athletes.
Course looked great today - hope you all enjoyed it and thanks for coming everyone in all age groups, particularly U11's I think there were 70+ of them, although they didn't all make it around.

Ran today, trying to take it easy for the IH relays tomorrow, but you never quite manage, do you. Really enjoyed it, which I very rarely say for XC, but then it wasn't a proper XC. Where was the wind and freezing rain?

Well marked, and I've never seen so many marshalls, so WP and friends did a good job. First time Pengy has run in this league, and he was amazed at the number of juniors. Good to see the sport has a future.

Thank you again Blackburn Harries for putting on another great xc.

We all love running at Witton in some strange perverse way!! Well at least the first one is over with.

Just a shame I couldn't keep up with 'Mrs Witton Park', perhaps at the next one?

    Re: Cross country

I did my first one of the season yesterday at Shouldham Warren, the first of the six races in the Ryston CC grand prix. It was just 5k and suited me as I'm just easing myself back in after a bit of a break.
Hoping for a far more successful 2009
