    Re: Xmas on the fells

Just some detail as i am being asked a bit via PM
    The Route,
I hope it is good for all to all not easy trying to do all this sorting
Start at Scales go out towards Mousthwaite Comb, head up as if going towards sharp edge, at scales beck cross over river Glenderamackin to take path up to Disused lead mine, just after stream head NE to reach top of Bannerdale Crags.
from here follow trod round valley head to The Tongue then we will aim for the 3 piles of stones on Bowscale Fell traversing east of Tarn Crags at the last pile head south to pick up the track towards Mungrisdale at Mungrisdale south again to find a way up Souther Fell across the top of this fell back to Mousthwaite Combe and return to Scales.
i have picked this route this year for a few reasons, not to high, but enough up and down bits to earn beer! it's an area that most won't make an effort to go to, it has surprisingly good views we can drop off in case of trouble at a few points, not to far but not to short.
We may miss out the Tongue, as it is very very WET, this will save us about 20 mins hmm just enough time for a pint
the meeting time and place is as follows:
    1030 am Moot Hall
    11 am scales either lay-by
Again this is a social meeting no numbers will be issued its a trot with a surprise half way round????????????????

At night the official meeting place is as always the George at top of town at 7 pm
