Nah, I don't run, I haven't run in years! This year I am going to try and cycle though, which will be interesting

Are you cycling the run route Han.

    PS
I will only be staggering, not run for a couple of weeks with a sore hamstring.

Need to be there though for my mate.

Don't worry about the sore hamstring. XOTF is a social run out at social pace

Everything is social pace at the minute.

I am now TT till next Saturday teatime.

    Is it full body cover?

    What shoes should I wear?

Is there a drinks station on route?

How many gels will I need?

Will map and compass be the order of the day?

Re: 2012 DazH XOTF a beer?

I was planning on riding the most rideable route to the top of Darling Fell, but there isn't one... so I am riding the run rout. As I will be largely pushing the bike anyway, the bits I can ride will make up for the bits I cannot

I just follow Amex's @rse, has worked for me so far and this is my errrr, 5th? XOTF

I will be staggering/crawling/crying. Social pace is fast for me! But that's ok, as long as I earn my night out :w00t:

Hoping for a run this morning, but have woken up feeling extremely dodgy (not booze related, my training has been feeble in that respect!) Daren't venture far from the bathroom, hope it is not Winter lurgy  Maybe later!

Those worried about lurgy/injuries: the last few years we have always had a few of us that walked a shorter route or even the same route... Walking isn't that much slower in the big scheme of things This time it will be ultra slow as I try and ride the bike for a few metres, fail dismally, get off, push, get back on, fail, get off push... So anyone worried about the pace, don't

My bike also has a nice hipflask he got from Saint Nicholas, to keep ther backmarkers warmed up

Thought I was the only stagger on here? Are we having a beer or two on the way round ONW?
