You can lose 10 places easily at the middle / back end too, with those wet descents. It was nice to meet some Forumites over a meat pie!

It's Kirkby Moor race a week on Saturday - a fast end of season race, also 'down South Cumbria'. See you all there.

Ah, you should feel like you ought to appolgise for holding people up. It’s a race after all, if people want to pass you, they need to do it properly and take the consequences that it might be a less than ideal surface. Keep doing what you enjoy, and let others worry about themselves.

    Hi Noel.
Is your race video viewable yet?

Good question Truck. I've spent the last few nights editing it and then finding it won't export, or that the file becomes corrupted. I've reluctantly decided I have better things to do with my evenings.

So, here's a "word" video. You'll have to use your imagination:
    ________________________________
John Brown leads Carl and Tom to the summit. Danny is about 30 yards behind. The hail shower starts (cue me laughing)
John runs down the path and asks me the way. I say I don't know.

The rest of the field runs past, including Anna Lupton who's well ahead of the other ladies. StevieK is first Pennine runner. I have to shout at my dog who's getting in the way. Apologies to any runners affected.

I tell Jane Reedy she's second lady, then warn her she's being chased by Hazel. I then apologise to Hazel, who says it's OK, Jane has just overtaken her.

Mrs Noel comes past, closely chasing another lady. Everyone else comes past. Lots of shouting at Pennine runners. Truck, the crowd on the other side of the path give you lots of encouragement after they hear your name. I hope you appreciated that.
    ______________________________________
I realise this might not be quite as good as an actual video. I'll try to sort out my IT issues for the next race. I even videoed the presentation and took a picture of the pies.

    Haha... Thats ace Noel
You, the lovely hikers (who I had a nice chat in the pub with after the race) and then Geoff B all gave me a good boost towards the end.
