Was in WH Smiths this morning looking at the sports mag section and just wondered if any consideration has ever been given to offer the mag for retail consumption. It is currently a members only offering but it could also offer somthing to others and generate interest and funds for the FRA.........thoughts?

Ever tried readin' Runners' World? It's all about smoothies and bagels and abs and free radicals. I got it cause I'm a race organiser but after 20 issues with the same bird bouncing across a sandy beach on the cover (it's obvious she's never run off a treadmill) and that feeling of being "got at" by subtle and, sometimes blatant marketing, I've had enough.
Even "Summit" was a bit thin this time round. "Fellrunner" is a bloomin' miracle in this day and age. One quibble though the results lists always stop before they get to my name... why is that?

Cancelled my subscription to both Runners World and Trail as i think they are both repetitive and boring.

I just wish that I was able to make some sort of comment on the current issue. Unfortunately, I still have not received my copy, although I have been told that another copy has been put in the post.

Absoultely.

The first thing I do is check for pictures of Roadrunner as well. I'm glad it's not just me.

To be fair the most disturbing cover of Runner's World ever was the one of a very fit girl doing a quad (I think) stretch with both hands whilst standing in the middle of a field of red hot pokers- in full bloom! Woah!! The question I keep asking myself is "Where on Earth do you find a field of red hot pokers?"
