So, with Glasgow being awarded the 2014 Commonwealth Games, do you they will bother trying to make Mountain Running a demonstartion sport?

If Glasgow are half as successful as Manchester 2002 then it will be a great showcase and one I am sure going to be getting to as many events as possible.

Mist Cherub and I were discussing this the other day - some top races around Glasgow such as Ben Lomond and the newly reintroduced Arrochar Alps race. I hope that that SHR can convince SAL to put the pressure on for it's inclusion.

Should be an interesting games though - there are a number of African countries in the commonwealth where middle/long distance running is taking off - lots of stern competition in 7 years (as if there isn't enough already!).
