    Pendle Owl Event

    Following the enjoyment of the Halloween Owl event is the Pendle Owl Event with more of the same dark doings. This one involves a round route with 2 checkpoints. For those who like to make night runs fun!!!!!

    Excellent.

    I think you may get a few Bowland Bats turning up for this one.

    Doesn't look like the bikes will be sticking to the bridleways BUT trespassing on footpaths so even more erosion on Pendle!

    Thats a fair comment and of course you are correct but the event is basically for runners but some people have asked if they can do these events on their bike. I dont think we have had more than four bikes in any event as yet and only one did Ingleborough (which was a bridleway). The route chosen for this event is basically the pendle way which is well trodden so i dont think a small number of bikes will effect erosion.
    Perhaps i should consider future events being runners only.

    That route choice is more interesting than it first appears....

    It depends if you want a 'tour' or to get down fast. I know which way I'm going and it won't take me more than 10 mins - even in the dark!

    Yes Mapper I have seen your Bat Cape !!! Obviously thinking of swooping into Barley then !!!
    After climbing a great hill one only finds that there are many more hills to climb ......
