I reckon what there is, is more than enough to be honest. Loads in fact! Have I missed any?

Pen y Ghent fell race from Horton
    Whernside fell race from Dent
    Ingleborough fell race from Ingleton
3 peaks fell race from Horton
    Austwick trail race from Austwick
    The Fellsman from Ingleton
Great Whernside fell race from Kettlewell
Buckden Pike fell race from Buckden
Settle Hills fell race from Settle
Settle Loop trail race from Settle
Malhamdale Meander from Kirkby Malham (LDWA)
    Trollers Trot from Threshfield (LDWA)
Wharfedale off road full and half marathon from Threshfield (like a LDWA)
    Stirton fell race from Stirton
Oh and not forgetting some of the diddy BOFRA races Burnsall, Kilnsey Crag, Malham, Gargrave, Embsay Crag etc

Its just the best thing ever to be running out in places where none of that pretty long list ever ever go
Kettlewell is also home to the Bingley Harriers 'Wharfedale Triple-T' series & Abbey Runners 'Abbey Anniversary Fell Race'.

We now have the uphill only from Melmerby to Hartside cafe to add to that list.
    A circular route mostly downhill

Why must you HAVE a race in an area that appeals to you? Just open up a map .... use your imagination to devise a route .... then go run it! It's all the better for knowing that you've devised it yourself and that you are not just following the hoardes; and that you have the place all to yourself!
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Last time I ran over Pyg and Plover, it looked like they'd started to pitch the path down to the fox up road. Which is a pity really as wasn't that on previous occasions I'dbeen over it.

what about cross fell? the highest point in the pennines unless i'm mistaken and blissfully free of races, im sure there would be a good route available over cross fell and great n little dunn fells, but like some have alluded to, maybe they are all the better for being free of races.

They have 'fixed' the path down to the Foxup road. In my humble opinion it's a nightmare and very dangerous now. Stolly no doubt runs it far more than I do though, I wonder what his opinion of the new path is?
