This one is £8.99 and uses SD memory cards so has unlimited capacity.
I'vwe got a 512 one and use it for running fits in those pockets that you have inside shorts as well
Technically it'll only take a 1gig card. (It's in the small print).Originally Posted by david
For running, just about anything flash-based (i.e. doesn't use a hard drive) will be alright, just depends on what capacity you're after (which depends on how far you can run I guess...) The quality isn't going to vary massively until you start paying a bit more.
Hubbie bougth me an Ipod nano yesterday - sick of me moaning about the crap mp3 player we share!! I have absolutely no idea how to work it! The menu says radio but I can't seem to find a radio or make it come on if there is one!! The instruction book tells you how to switch the thing on and off and that's about it!! Any ideas?!
Wife bought me an iPod shuffle for Christmas. Already have normal iPod so transferring songs was a doddle. Belt clip is great for clipping to clothing and is a cool piece of kit. Highly recommended. Just debating whether I can wear it for Winter Hill!
for a cheapish mp3 player
I now have a creative muvo 1gb the thing that sold it to me was that pc world sell a protective case that fits on your arm
and it's been terrific, I look forward to my runs with music
one battery last ages the whole lot was about £50 and the quality seems fine if you buy the nano plus there's a radio and a cable so you can down load from tapes
you have to get the right sort of music to run to ,shh... I could even envisage wearing it in a race
if your dithering about getting an mp3 like I was....... get one they are great
I bought a 1Gb mp3 player from PC world for about £27.00 before Christmas. It has about 6-8 hours of play time on a battery and also doubles as a USB media storage device if need be. Just plug the end of it into the PC and away you go.
Really makes a difference to longer runs. I never used to see the point in running with music, but I use the mp3 player most times now.
I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep.
what you want is a 1st gen iPod Shuffle.
good battery life.
no messin with cables just plug n go
and of course tres stylish.
pick one up for about 20 quid on the old ebay.
