Good 1st Lakeland Fell Race?

Hi All,

Being relatively new to this game and having only as yet run "Local"Penistone Hill based races I would like to run my 1st Lakeland Race next year.

Anybody remember the 1st Lakeland Fell Race they did? Or a good recommendation for a first timer.

Mine was Fairfield Horseshoe. Good race for a first one in the lakes - not much rough stuff and even if you're v.slow, it shouldn't take too long.

Also it's in May so early in the season.

Dunnerdale - a wonderful short race. But you might not want to wait until Nov. 2008!

I did the Coniston Fells as my first race in the lakes. Thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Borrowdale 2000 was my first. Nice short easy one to start with.
