Does anyone know what are my options for relatively local clubs given that I live in Cheltenham?

Probably too far away from you but a good little club is TACH- based around Bristol and run off-road on a thursday from various decent boozers scattered in the countryside around Bristol.

The closest specific hill club is probably Mercia Fellrunners out in Shropshire. There's always a few faces from the Midlands at races, but never much in terms of club representation.

the north york moors ac organise some good runs which i found a nice introduction to fell running. check out there web site. www.nym.ac
