A mate and myself are thinking of running the Tour of Mt Blanc over a few days (ish). We're not thinking of the TMB race. Does any one have any eperience/ advice of running the route? The plans at the moment are to do it in Oct '08

Also there's quite a thread on the westhighlandwayrace.org website forum on the UTMB, advice etc. jez posts on there.
I would check out the weather for October. I think snow and ice is a big risk after September ... and the mountain huts may not be open. Early September is reckoned to be one of the best times in the Alps. Good Luck
