How about O-golf. Individual time trial where you just get issued a map of the holes and have to navigate between them?

For over 35 years now I have said that when I'm too old and knackered to run / walk / cycle I will probably take up pigeon racing. When I'm too old and knackered to keep and race pigeons, I might take up golf.
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

Golf? I’d rather run on the road and that’s really saying something

Really enjoyed following the Ryder Cup though - one of my favourite sporting events

I can see the attraction in playing golf; but spectating golf ?!*^???
In his lifetime he suffered from unreality, as do so many Englishmen.

The way spectating of golf (actually pretty specific to the Ryder Cup), to become a bit more like football or darts, is a negative thing in my opinion. Booing, chanting, etc.... i couldn't give a hoot about golf but i don't think it's right.

Of course TalkSport were ramping it up last night, saying we're only a couple of years away from there being crowd trouble at the Ryder Cup. But i understand the underlying point that it's in danger of becoming more like a 'stag weekend' trip rather than a civilised sporting event.

Thats how horse racing has gone.
    Spoilt by stag/hen trips.

Ryder cup golf was good, the booing and cheering errors has no place in the sport.

Good grief Trev, you play golf and visit places where they have Travelodges (according to the campervan thread); I'm really getting concerned about you!

Went well on Fairways but greens were solid.
    Made it tough.
    Chill in the breeze too❄
