    Re: Ribble Valley 10K

We are now up to 1238 athletes pre-entered which is a fantastic.
I'm pretty sure John will close of the pre-entries in the next 24 hours as he starts to prepare for race day, so if you are planning to come, I would suggest that you get in online now rather than wait for race day.
We have a 1500 limit which we never felt we would get to, not yet anyway.
We normally take 200+ on the day so you can see it's getting close to the point where we may have to close the registration early.

Ribble Valley 10k, Hot Toddy, Festive Disorientation, etc
Hmmmm aren't we all spoilt for closing the year this Sunday.
I did the Hot Toddy last year so I've got my eye on one of the other two, given that a Gloss chariot is going to RV, and that FD is a gentle jog over the hill.

If you come to the RV, then come and say hello - I'll be at ALS as well.

    Will do (if selected).
What's happened to the 2011 RV race video on the race page of the BBH website?; my browser says it doesn't exist.

I'll keep an eye out for you.

Just a tip, steady that first mile - it's surprisingly quick and you can run the legs off yourself.

Weather was against times today but it was a great race with a record field. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Saw a few forumites there and gave them a little encouragement.

Fleeter, Multi-Coloured, Swoop, KevSpider, martin, Roadrunner, .... I'm sure there must have been more.

Well done and thanks for supporting the race.

Great race with such a strong field. Shame conditions weren't overly productive for really fast times but no excuses as it's the same for everyone.

Finished up with 33:34, was looking for sub 33 but was 30sec down on target pace after even 2mi but then managed to pick it up a bit, maybe conditions or maybe I just didn't go out hard enough.

I think that's the wind. Fleeter picked up at the back end.

The wind was across for the first 3km, then against for most of the next 4km, but off the right a tad, but was behind for the last 3km, so I bet quite a few ran slower in the first 5km.
The only real headwind was on the return part of the loop at halfway.
