I've seen you on the list Colin. Until the last few days, you'd have been counting for Alty as well

    I'll give you a shout

Cheers Richard. We might stand a chance if Andy Norman moves up to 10K from parkruns!

Fastest 10K time of the year today (road) by Jonny Mellor: 29:12. Cracking race to spectate!

    One of Blackburn Harriers juniors.

There was a road closure in place but the odd farm vehicle popped up and plenty of cyclists (fair enough) but one bunch of road cyclists behaved like total dicks - riding in a group of about 5 or 6 and not changing their line or slowing down for groups of runners (albeit on the right hand side of the road but it was a road closure). When said runners shouted, one of the riders shouted back 'it's our road as well'. THB I was disgusted and did not have time to take a pic of the rider or else he would be posted up on every social media site I could think of.

Just a shout out for ex Junior FRA Champion Marc Scott ex of Richmond and Zetland.

Last year he ran the Ribble Valley 10k for the first time and won it in a course record 28:58, the first sub 29 on the course that has had some top athletes over the years.

He won it on Sunday again in 28:32 with the top 3 men all inside 29 and some incredible depth in the ladies as well.

I was frowned upon at times by many non-fell endurance coaches for encouraging some of my runners to have a go at junior fell.

Marc is another example of how a sensible level of fell running can help produce a strong all-round adult endurance runner.
Be interesting if he ever gets a taste for fell again.

Ah... but are you owning up to this?

No - I was up Darwen Moor and I'd be at least 5 minutes slower
