For them that don't know the course, it's a fast PB course, nice surroundings to race in.
Nice course yes - PB course?????????? come on WP. Salford or Wesham are PBers, Ribble valley has the looks but also the undulations, undulations, undulations.

What nasty tarmac? No. Done it twice, 38 then a 36 but went much quicker at Salford (on a PB course).
It's a very good and popular festive 10K Al - good luck.

I have done this race 3 times and hoping to make this year my 4th time but it wont be quick, Last year i did the first mile in around 7 minutes
The race does not always go to the swift, but to the ones who keep running

And what was your finishing time?

How realistic would it be to get a sub 40 time.

I did the RunPreston 10k in 41.53 and it had a bastard hill at the end, and id only run 50 miles in the 7 months upto it. Ive now passed 200 miles.

I'll tell you what Ady - Wesham just doesn't come in to it - Salfords good though.

I went to Rufford a few years ago - flat as a pancake and only about 4 corners to negotiate on a rectangular course.
We were around a minute down (I think Paul Freary got hit by a car or something that day warming up).

The atmosphere etc make a difference and I think the whole event helps the RV10k.

Also the start is so inviting - you always feel like that 1st mile gets you on the money!
