    Re: what waterproof jacket?

I have a cheapo regatta breathable cagoule type thing. 15 quid it cost and I don't find myself soaked when I've been on my push bike for an hour or more. Only problem with it is if it really rains hard the storm flap over the zip leaks as its only a single flap and isn't held down very well. Packs down nice and small. Bargain if you ask me

    Came across these today:

    http://www.trekmates.co.uk/Products/...f_Wind_Jacket/

    http://www.trekmates.co.uk/Products/...Wind_Trousers/

very reasonbley priced, quality looks ok, obviously I don't know how they perform but I'd consider geting them if I ever lost my Montane, don't know what model it is but it's brilliant and you can't get them anymore.

Looks like the bees knees. I can see why people carry two jackets on MM's, a waterproof and a pertex, so one that appears to do both jobs and is lighter than most waterproofs sounds great.

I've got the OMM smock and it's brilliant in bad weather but not nearly as light or compact as above. Not very breathable either but at half the price I can't complain.
