No it wasn't just you, i was really struggling with that last section especially the start/finish field,However i wasn't surprised to find out i hadn't won a prize of any sort!. It is only now 24 hours after that i am realising that i really enjoyed the race. The descents were amazing!
Thanks to all marshalls and photographers.

    Re: Cardington Cracker

I was on Caer Caradoc summit on Sunday as the leader flew past I left as the last person went over the top. I took loads of photos too, just have to sort out how to put my fb link to albums on here (or if your on fb then look for Sue Kirkbride - I've put the photos for anyone to see). Help yourself to any of the photos. I did my first race for many years in November HellRunner - Hell up North. Watching this race has made me think - oooooooooo I so want to have a go at that. I'm into Hiking, Rock climbing and (for training) off road running - the more mud the better lol. I seem to have more energy than I know what to do with sometimes.

On of the things that struck me on Sunday was how much fun everyone was having. Well done to all of you

I hope to see you on this event and a few others in 2010

Thanks hightops . I was obviously soooooo fast you missed me Great photos all the same .

There are loads of great fell runs in Shropshire through out the year , so , you don't have to wait till the next "Cracker" to get your self all muddy

oh sorry nightingale A friend of mine also took a load. He is on fb - Adrian Strand . Think he has set his to allow anyone to see them too. Have a look as he was a bit quicker than me (with me frozen fingers) so he may of caught you
I'm looking forward to entering a few of these in 2010. My son-in-law is going to have a go too (he enters anything if there is a t-shirt involved lol) He is off to Afganistan though in Jan so he will join me about Aug time. I'll keep a look out on this forum for ones that I can come along to on my own until then. I do loads of mountain navigation stuff solo so dont mind not having a run round buddy.

    Snow for Cardington Cracker ?

I'm (hoping to be) racing at the Cardington Cracker this Sunday in Shropshire - any observations on current conditions ? Is there snow on any of the route yet ? How're the roads on the way to the area ?

    Cheers

    Re: Snow for Cardington Cracke

Im reliably told there was snow & ice etc out on the hills on Sunday for the Time Trial (little stretton - about 4 or so miles away from Cardington), and there is snow forecast for tonight, tomorrow & Wed (showers - could come anytime). All main roads are open so far, on the minor roads it's a bit variable. To be fair, we havent had much snow overall in Shropshire yet, but it has been cold & icy @ -12ish
