If I can get a passout I'll be there. I haven't suffered enough this year so this will be good for me . It's not a club counter this year though, so there won't be a load of Helsby vests.

I'll be there Spen, and as it's the last medium counter on the club champs I imagine about 50 other yellowvests too. Went round yesterday and it's getting properly muddy on the run-in. Should be great.

My good lady came round with me for a bit of power hiking coaching on the Lawley and very nearly whooped my arse with an unexpected sprint in the finishing field. It's so heavy underfoot you can feel the strength leaking out of your legs with every stride. Can we agree no sprinting until the big tree?

See you all there, but don't forget the Wrecker on 17th (I'll be a no-show with the coaching course) and then the ever-brilliant Time Trial on the 24th...

Going back this year and hoping to bring a few other red Horwich vests with me too.

Had a shocker on it last time, legs went on me and I ended up stumbling along after the last climb until a kind chap from Mercia helped me in. Must do better this time.

Have a bit of an injury in the ankle so will be there if that holds up. Went round Caradoc and hope-bowdler section last week and not too painful. Plenty of mud out there already though....

It will be a muddy one, its my local stomping ground and its pretty churned up at the moment, the low parts will be a slog to say the least. Quick feet required. :-)

Mud is good, as Gecko didn't say. Looking forward to this one.

A good run out today - ankle held up and somehow knocked 2 minutes off last year's time. Not as muddy as anticipated and weather held off until lunchtime so pretty good all round.
Many thanks to Telford AC and all the marshals for another cracking cracker!
