I was hoping to enter this today but unfortunately I am giving it a miss this year. Achilles have flared up again and after a (very) painful trip to the physio, I have promised not to do more than 5k at 60% for a few weeks. Still hoping to make Callow just before Christmas..

It'll still be snowy on the tops for this, will it? Slushy and slippy too.

No snow at the moment. Pretty muddy in all the usual places though.
The glider club web cam on the Long Mynd is usually a good indicator of conditions.

It'll be bad between 2nd and 3rd climbs. And of course turning out of the start field is always shocking.

Drove up the A49 through Church Stretton this afternoon and not a speck of snow to be seen.
Visibility good except in Hill Fog

Have fun campers, I'm out with some wretched disease I found in Leeds on Friday evening. Sinus infection so acute I didn't get enough sleep, up all night taking meds. I've told the RO he can transfer my entry.
