    That's Lyth

THinking about doing 'That's Lyth' at the weekend, if i can get in. I've only done one or two of these type of events but have always enjoyed them - lovely no-pressure long runs with food and everything!

Anyone done this who cares to say what they thought of it?

Good event i have done it for the last few years quite a lot of runners at the head of the field, a good mixture of terrain (plenty of mud this year) all in all a good indicator of early season fitness i.e. it will show up any lack of training

This year i will be walking it with the Mrs (that`s my excuse anyway)

    Have Fun

Thats Lyth is great day out and has been oversubscribed for some years - best contact the organiser to find out if there are any places left.

I'll be on registration & CP1 before running round the rest of it.

    Re: LDWA events

If you've missed the entries for Thats Lyth try Spring in to Lakeland (early April I think) - similar length, nicer route with less road distance than Lyth from Ambleside to Coniston and back, via Little langdale and Tarn Howes. Another good early season training run. I did this one and Lyth last year as well as another at Old Hutton near Kendal and felt they were a big help with longer races later in the year.

    Re: LDWA events

    Hi Guys
Newbie to the FRA forums and love doing LDWA events (but slowly ). Am doing Rombalds this weekend but have a friend wanting to do it, so am on the look out for any spare numbers. we would be eternally grateful if anyone can point us inthe direction of one.
Did the short route at 23 XX and enjoyed it despite the wind, agree that the wee dram could of contributed to us getting lost towards the end!
Hoping to do the Trollers Trot to, great to see some positive comments about the route, RW have it down as tough, but sounds manageable. I would love a copy of the route if anyone has one.
